“Cos'è la bellezza? Per un pittore è sempre stato un dipinto a raccontarla. Ma dov'è finita quell'aura che rendeva autentiche le opere d'arte? E qual è, ormai, il senso di questa ricerca senza tempo?” Parte tutto dal riflesso di un'emozione. Un'emozione che non si può fermare in una foto senza accorgersi di perderla. E allora tutto si accende nella natura di un gesto. “L'aura” nasce dal bisogno di catturare, raffigurandola, l'emozione che ci avvolge di fronte ad un opera, la percezione di poterla toccare e la necessità di poterla guardare. I colori fissano sulla tela i tratti di quella reale illusione che prende forma, di quella sensazione sfuggente. Il tentativo di fermare la bellezza, di ritrovarla in un sogno, di riaccendere l'aura che la rende eterna.

Marcello Rosas nasce ad Oristano nel 1987. Dopo il diploma all’Istituto Statale D’Arte “Carlo Contini” di Oristano, oggi frequenta il terzo anno alla facoltà di Architettura di Cagliari. La passione per il ritratto comincia da bambino, e molto presto anche le prime mostre e collaborazioni, ad oggi di profilo regionale. Il suo stile è improntato al realismo nei temi, e tecniche privilegiate sono l’acrilico su tela, il carboncino su carta e più di recente anche la pittura digitale su iPad. Nel Settembre 2013 Marcello inventa il "football painting" e realizza la prima opera al mondo con un pallone al posto del pennello e i piedi al posto delle mani. Il video di questo esperimento, condiviso su Youtube, è stato trasmesso dalla Rai e menzionato da diverse testate giornalistiche tra cui Repubblica.it.

Marcello Rosas was born in Oristano, Sardinia, in 1987. After achieving high school studies at the Art Institute “Carlo Contini” in his hometown, Marcello is currently attending the 3rd year at the University of Architecture in Cagliari. Passion for portraits dates back to his childhood, and . Marcello's major is realistic painting, while privileged techniques are acrylic on canvas, charcoal on paper and, more recently, digital painting on iPad. In 2013 Marcello invented the so-called “football painting”, a first-hand artistic technique that, according to its name, replaces the paint brush with a ball and the hands with the feet. This work is documented in a video, got the attention of the main media at the national level.

What is beauty? A painter is used to describe it through painting. And what is the special aura that makes something beautiful? Also, what is the sense of this endless search? The origin is always some emotion. An emotion unlikely to be frozen without loosing it. The origin of “L'aura” brings to the author's need to catch the emotions surrounding the piece of art itself as a way to make them long-lasting, and allow observers to feel and experience them again. Colours fix the sensations of those brief memories on canvas and fit the illusory need of turning beauty into a steady thing, likely to be found again in a dream, and able to light again the aura that makes beauty eternal.
